Gilded Plate

About

A small company, a few restaurants, and a system that has to earn its place on the table.

Here is who we are, where the product is, and what saying yes to early access gets you.

Why this exists

Ordering from a table shouldn't need a middleman.

Most of what a restaurant can buy for QR ordering is either bolted onto a point-of-sale system that costs a fortune and locks you in, or a marketplace app that takes a cut of every order and puts its brand between you and your guests. Neither is built for a place with twelve tables and one person doing the ordering.

Gilded Plate is the alternative I wanted to exist: guests order and pay from their own phone, the money goes straight into your own payment account, the kitchen sees the ticket the way the guest wrote it, and the whole thing runs in a browser on hardware you already own.

And it is built for the Friday night, not the demo. Every page on this site describes exactly what your staff and your guests get, so what you see here is what runs in your room.

Who

One name, so you know who you're talking to.

Chase Noel

Founder. Writes the code, sets up the restaurants, answers the email.

There is no sales team and no support tier. If you join early access, the person you talk to is the person who built what you're looking at, and the things you tell us change what gets built next.

What you get

The whole system, set up by hand.

  • The product

QR ordering at the table or the counter; a menu with photos, dietary tags and allergens; a live orders list; a kitchen display that tells the floor when food is up; a host stand for the room; cash, card and wallet payment through your own account; tax, tips and service charges; printable QR codes; and staff permissions.

  • Built for one job, done properly

The guest reading the menu, ordering and paying in your room or at your window — with the kitchen, the floor and the host stand all working from the same order. That focus is what keeps it simple to set up and simple to run.

  • How we onboard

A few restaurants at a time. We create your restaurant, build the menu with you, print the codes and connect your payment account together — then we watch the first service and fix what it shows us. Access is by invitation because that is the only pace at which we can do it properly.

Design partners

Early clients are design partners.

That is what early access actually is, so that is what we call it. The pricing page carries the same deal.

  • Preferential rates, held as we grow

We don't publish a price list. Early clients get rates below whatever we eventually publish, and nobody who helped us build this pays more later for having been early.

  • Setup done with you

Menu, tables, QR codes and payments put in place together rather than handed over as a signup form.

  • A direct line

The email address below reaches the founder, not a queue.

  • A say in what gets built

The order we build things in is decided by what early restaurants tell us breaks and what's missing.

  • What we ask in return

Tell us how it went — what worked, what your staff reached for, and what they missed. A Friday night's worth of feedback is worth more to us at this stage than money.

Contact

Reach a person.

Questions before joining, a problem during service, or a client who needs something: one address, read by the founder. Existing clients use the same one.

support@gildedplate.com

There is no contact form and no automatic reply. When you write, a person reads it and a person writes back.
